Categories: Cattani Compressors
The AC300 compressor is designed for up to 6 surgeries, 4 running simultaneously.
Compressor filters provide superior air purification, however these can be further upgraded to HEPA H14 filters providing an even higher level of filtration.
Cattani Compressors are hand built and quality checked at every stage of production and fully conform to ISO standard 22052.
Cattani Compressors are built with a self-purging drying column, requiring minimum maintenance.
All Cattani Compressors can be supplied with a high quality pressure regulator.
Cattani compressors when correctly specified will deliver the minimum requirements of 50 Litres / minute per chair (at 5 bar pressure) when running simultaneously.
For maximum efficiency, reliability and longevity, the compressor’s plant area should have an operating range of between +5 – 35°C.
All Cattani Compressors are supplied with a 5 year warranty* (Subject to terms and conditions of servicing schedule). An additional 2 year warranty* can also be purchased at the point of sale, increasing the warranty from 5 to 7 years.

INSTALLATION
It is most important that the compressed airline is
designed correctly to ensure airflow is distributed
evenly to surgeries and that air inside the pipe doesn’t
form condensate by being exposed to large temperature
differentials.
TEMPERATURE
Reliability and longevity of the compressor system
are dependent on the temperature of the plant area,
which should not exceed a maximum of 35°C. Investing
in good ventilation or air-conditioning will payback
many times over and it’s one of the wisest decisions a
practice can make regarding plant equipment.
VENTILATION
Plant areas should have at least two vents, one high
level, which may be required to be fan assisted to
remove hot air and one at low level to allow cool air
to be circulated. Air conditioning may be an option
dependent on the size and position of the plant area.
Equipment installed inside the surgery still needs
to be ventilated, even if the room is air conditioned.
A compressor and suction unit installed in the same
room can generate a lot of heat. Placing both together
is often common practice although not advised, as the
suction motor outlet air, if not exhausted correctly, can
be drawn into the compressor inlets thereby creating
cross infection issues.
